Stress? What is stress? Why do we stress? Is stress actually disguised fear? Fear of something that will happen or that won’t happen because of our actions or inactions. How great a world would be without a stress and underlying fear behind it. Nations would not go into wars because their leaders will sit down have a drink and say something like “Hey let’s not stress over this, relax we don’t have to be afraid of each other. Let’s just get along”. That would be awesome. But I’m afraid, not stressed that’s far from reality.
We stress more on personal level over something that immediately affects us or someone, something very close to us. It ultimately always leads to our or someone close to us well being. So here we are again – fear. But the fear is something that’s encoded in our DNA is not easy to get rid of and in some instances is actually good. It forces us to make wiser decisions and makes us think. So now since stress is actually disguised fear does it mean that stress is good for us? I am confused but won’t stress about it.
